The label on the bottom of this parer reads, "CARTER'S PATENT APPLE PARER, CORER AND SLICER. SOLD ONLY BY P.F. STIER, General agent in the Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Patented August 26, 1856.
