Bay State
In
the Bay State, Whittemore added a hand-driven gear and fork gear to their
board-mounted lathe. This example is missing the slicer blade and the
label. By
this time Whittemore, Harrington &
Co had become Whittemore Brothers. Whittemore Brothers would become D.H.
Whittemore.
Under D.H. Whittemore the Bay State would evolve into an all cast iron
table-mounted lathe parer.
