Image of Harbster 68 Apple Parer

Harbster '68

In 1872 Harbster Bothers & Company became the Reading Hardware Company. Known to collectors as the "Harbster '68", this turntable has a push-off and a thin metal cover for the turntable gears. This cover would help to reduce clogging from parings. Although aesthetically pleasing, this parer seems on the fragile side, especially the push-off.
