Whittemore 2 Label

The Whittemore 2 label reads, "WHITTEMORE HARRINGTON & Co's PATENT APPLE PARER CORER AND SLICER, AT ONE OPERATION. Directions for using-The Paring is regulated by moving the knife on the block-the slicing, by means of a screw, which enables the operator to suit his own ideas, but it should be kept as close to the fork as it can run and not catch, which makes a very small core. If the apple should split in operation, it is owing to the slicer being too high or too low, which will be easily found by experimenting. Patented Nov. 11, 1856, Jan. 13, & Feb. 17, 1857. WORCESTER, MS.
