Jersey Lathe Parer

Jersey

The Jersey was made by L.A. Sayre of Newark, New Jersey. It works on the same principle as the Oriole, but the rack of teeth, which advance the wheel, pivots away from the wheel after paring is complete. This allows you to pull the shaft back easily. When the crank is pulled back an L-shaped pen is stopped by the frame and pushes the pared apple off the fork. The parer is marked PAT. JUN. 2 85.
